Jake E lee used my RJS Amps exclusively last night in Indiana. Here is a youtube video of the song Havana.

 
Sounds pretty good. Give Jake a Plexi'ish style amp and let him go.
 
We need to bring back fat strats into pissed plexi full stacks to save music.
 
Great tones for a phone capture. I bet it slays in person.
 
Sounds great! Not sure which amp he was playing in Houston the other night, but it sounded killer.

Thank you! Much Appreciated. Ive been a fan of Jake E Lee since I saw him play at the US Festival in 1983.

I Also helped build the blue burst and purple burst guitars In 84 while working at Charvel. It's pretty cool to involved with Jake. :D
 
Sounds great Bobby... is he using the 68 or your four 12ax7 2203?

76/100 Added gain stage. yes 4 12AX7's, 2203 style.
 
That RJS 76/100 sounds more in line with his JCM800 tone which I like, nice amp there MR. RJS. I saw Jake at the Joliet IL show right before the Inidana show above in the clip. Towards then end of the night the Friedman 100 cut out and the guitar tech was over there messing with things and then said they had to switch to a Sansamp for the rest of the show. Both the 100 and 50 Friedmans were turned on, I'm not sure if he was using them both or not. I did confirm the cabs were EVH cabs, you can't see the lettering on the logos in the vids at all and hardly in person, the stage light had to shine on them at just the right angle to reveal the eVh.

Before the amp issues his tone was very much like his Dusk album tone... a more dark less cutting plexi type tones and they sounded good.

While I appreciate the plexi tones, I tend to like Jakes JCM800 tone best but it still was a good show and I enjoyed watching him play, the whole band seemed to have fun and the singer joked with the crowd and had a good attitude when they played Highwire and he didn'y quite hit Ray's high scream at the end, he joked "I think I just blew a chord". He sounded good singing Mr/ Gillen but those high notes are hard for most mortals to reach.
 
I saw RDC last night, and Jake was playing through a Friedman for the whole gig. Like a lot of us, he likes to mix things up I guess.

I'd take any of the amps in his current rig over the EVH amps he was using on the last tour.

Darren is a great guy/singer ... I can't imagine trying to hit those Ray Gillan notes. But he does a good job. I'm surprised they took the time to paint over the EVH logos, why not just remove them?
