Got em,love them,in my 1984 Explorer,alder wood.Hetfield replica,not the reissue.
They sound clear like the 81,they have nice attack, but the thing i like the most is
they don't have the thinness of the 81,and they sound wide open and not compressed.
And the mad tight crunch is fluid, the GB and E strings sound more full when soloing.
And they look great,i'll take a pic when it comes back, getting a re-fret.

How much you want for them?  Have you tried them with the 18v mod at all?

I haven't tried the mod in this pair,as i have in the older set.Sounds great the way it is,and the amp i use
has just been modded by Rhodes amps and theres enough gain for 2 amps now.

You sir, are an asshole.

Dude i couldn't help myself, they were there and they were the same price as the norm. And since i already spent
$2500 on this Explorer to make it perfect, why not another $240?!?!

Same thing I would have done! I'm just jealous that you have my dream guitar, haha!

It's my dream guitar too,and it's not like that led special re-issue Gibson put out in 08,i have 2 of those
and they are back breakers, the 84 is light, very nice to play, ebony board,i probably won't gig with it.

Have you missed his ESP endorsements that he's done for the past 30 years?

Yes. :scared:

Has he done actual commercials for ESP? I've never seen anything about that here. :dunno:

I'll tell you what man, anything that can get an artist some consistent incoming cash it's ok.... some artist go too far obviously (Gene, Dave Mustaine, etc) but there's nothing wrong with advertisement.

I just think the artist must use the product it's being advertised other than that, no harm!

Yea they are awsome, im gonna get some for my ken lawrence explorer.
I still like the 81 but these hetfields are great too.

I just put a 60/81 in my LPC. I purchased a het set as well. I'll swap those in next time I change strings.

I just ordered a set as well. Going to put them in a SL-2H soloist.

Sounds a bit thin and treble to me?

Is it really necessary to dig up multiple old threads to post the same thing??
