Here are some short iPhone clips of James and Andy playing the new amp from Port City, the Onyx @ SEGAS 2012 yesterday.
Not the best clips in the world but thats coming next week. Hopefully you can get an idea.
They are both playing through a PC 2x12OS with WGS ET-65s

Andy makes most things sound awesome...

Still on today?

What can really be said? Sounds pretty damn good and nice to hear some bite from the WGS ET65's.. i have often heard that a lot of their speakers lack bite from celestion guys on this forum. They sounded great there.

Andy, James, wow both sound terrific thru that rig... :D great tone...
Andy just cracks me up, makes it look so easy... Lmao

I loved the tone on the strat clip. Sounds great Harris!!

Sounds great. Hope James is doing well on the other coast. Andy is amazing.

Thanks man. Sounds much better in person. We did some other clips with some other guys. Hope they turn out great

4 preamp tubes in this thing or just Jose style diode clipping? Seems like a no frills very basic offering. Those are usually the best amps anyway..

The clips sound great!

You do realize Two-Rock made an amp called the Onyx, right?

It was awesome with the Paul but just killed with the Strat and their OD pedal.

It was discontinued though...right?
Would that make a difference?

So essentially this thing is just a handwired plexi clone with a master volume.. how would this differ from any of the other zillion replica's? The fact that you need an OD to get that tone means it is essentially up against real JMP's or JCM800's. What OD was it?

James said he dug the strat with it plus an OD pedal PC makes. The amp doesnt need an OD pedal. its not just a plexi clone at all. Its a hot rodded british voiced amp. simple and straight forward. I find alot of the other amps are muddy, and just tons of gain and thats it. This amp is very articulate and you hear everything.

That's cool, thanks for the clarification. Be interesting to see further clips.
