Got one of James Trussarts Steelcaster Deluxe Guitars in Copper with a TV Jones in the neck postion. The guitar is sick! Crazy responsive, notes are crisp and bloom into resounding tone filled feedback. Cuts like a broadsword. Holy Christ, who knew these metal guitars were so good! Try one if you can! I want more now!

Cool, Brad!

I have a few Trussarts out on tour. A Tele, Strat, and P/J bass. All are great instruments and sound killer. Met James in LA this fall as well. Nice dude and he builds super cool guitars. James wants to build a Charlie Sexton model as well.

Beautiful guitar!
What's the weight like? Is it a back-breaker, or is it relatively light?

perforated back and hollow. Only about 7.75 lbs.

$4000-$5500 . . . that's insane. He must work for Gibson . . . .

I played a holey deville about 5 or six years ago and loved it...only cost 2000 dollars at the guitar show here in florida...I should have picked it up

Ahhh, got it.
Stellar looking instrument.

I know there's no resonator in it, but does it have any "Dobro-esque" tonal qualities to it due to the way it's constructed? Either way I'm sure it has a sound all it's own. I'd love to hear what it sounds like through something like a deluxe reverb with a little break-up.

Actually his guitars are handmade by him. Everyone different and real craftsmanship involved in making them, no CNC machines here   . If a assembly line Les Paul list for $6K these should cost 3x as much. Dont get me wrong I am not for overpriced anything but I do respect real artists like Trussart. The guitar sounds amazing.

Some more pics as requested.

No, he must build awesome guitars out of METAL with his bare hands. Trussart guitars are worth every penny and there are numerous stories of James being a very accommodating and stand-up guy. :gethim:

James is supposed to be a super good guy. I am going to go see him at his shop next week when I am in LA for NAMM and see if he will make me this steel top guitar with some of my personal tattoos engraved into the top

Great pics! I look forward to meeting you and seeing Rob and the shop again. I am bringing this guitar with me so I will bring it over to the shop.

Congrats brad

Trussarts are alot of dough. But when u take into consideration the craftsmanship and attention to detail, they are worth every penny. Wonderful guitars that are only going to get more popular
