Our practice space was sold right before our last gig on New Year's Eve so in an effort to try something different we took part of the proceeds from the show and bought a JamHub. We all have kids and wives and wanted a way to practice at the house without blowing the roof off the joint and thought this could be the best solution. Our drummer gigs with acoustics but has a couple of electronic kits so problem #1 solved. The bass player runs direct so no biggie there but we, the guitar players have to use modelers. The other guitar player has a zoom g3 which sounds pretty good through the headphones and I settled on a Line 6 Pocket Pod.

I dialed up the "Breaking the Law" preset, set my personalized mix and the drummer counted it in...and I was shocked. Not by the "glorious" tones but the ability to HEAR everything, just right. Even our bass player who is an SVT blaring fool was impressed. We all played much better and actually got more done in 2 hours than would take 4 the conventional way. I do miss feeling the amp and "my" sound but with a little more tweaking I think it will do. Anyone else using one of these and if so do you have any tips on getting a better guitar tone??

Singer is plugs in direct and the sound of his voice is the only thing you can hear in the room. The good thing is since he's not competing with live drums and amps he can sing at a lower volume and focus on actually hitting the notes   I suppose that could be a bad thing too

had one since they came out... used with a few bands. Some guys cant get used to it, but I think it awesome, and no volume wars. Mistakes are right in the open, not to be hidden behind volume.

What are you using for your guitar?
