So I kinda have this Axe Fx standard I've been playing with
...Saturday I had a couple of guys from the board over for a little gear fest. We had some of the best high gain amps out there in the house, an Ecstasy Classic, a Herbert, an OD100SE+, a Cornford MK50 and a Peter's dual channel Halo/Gryphon (which I love).
I've gotta be honest, the Axe ROCKED! More than held it's own against the best of the best.
JB really did have it right...the thing I like best about the Axe, is that I can dial out whatever that one thing is that keeps an amp fom being perfect, or dial in the one thing that's missing. You know, the thing that makes me sell
I never thought I'd dig it this much, but it really does feel, sound and respond like a GREAT tube amp. I don't want to sound like a zealot (insert any well known owner name here.....), but in all seriousness, this thing is REALLY, REALLY good!
Just thought I'd share
