Every once in awhile I like to put my classic rock hat on with stock 800 gain to keep me honest.

This is an '83 2204, no gain mods but does have an effects loop added and fresh cap job. :)

Great tone! Great song! SM57 on small block speakers?

Thanks for the responses, and happy Thanksgiving.

No Splawn speakers in this cab, just an x pattern of Chinese Greenback/H30.

Mic was an MD421, rock on!

That tone is iconic and killer, great great video thanks for posting dude, that amplifier is a winner please dont touch it

Interesting i had that combo for a while and found the g12h30's ice pick on highs (but great clean). I swapped them in for Super V's with the chinese greenies and problem solved. I am going to rent a 421. Sounds like it rolls off the sharp mid range of the 57's a bit.

Sounded very good, love the 800s. Saw you rockin' out in the reflection of the fan heh

SOunds great Tom, would have sounded better with some plate and sauce though :D

Sounds sweet. Really sweet! Classic sound from a classic amp.

Keep on rokkin' dude :D!

Very cool! You can see how 1 amp covers so many different things for rock music.

Those first to chords I thought you were breaking into Ratt's "Your in Love".
Then I hear a little Bryan Adams tone "Summer of 69" then of course some "Panama" tone.

Love that tone!! Add a little SD-1 boost once in a while and most days, it's all I need .

Love the bryan adams

Plus I love early 80's jcm 800's they are So Swweeetttt
