Cat's huge overseas... I don't know him but my wife used to know him really well. Said he's a totally cool cat, nice guy, laid back, and solid.

From what I've read and seen and heard, I'd have to agree.

V.

Annihilator is an awesome band.... live they are tight and they bring it. What more could you ask for from a thrash band. Set the World on Fire and Never Neverland were awesome albums. A few dud albums along the way but still, some killer riffing and solid material. Two thumbs up.

^^^ perfectly stated.

Waters = Awesome guitarist; songs- hit or miss...

Jeff Waters is an incredible player. I should work on some of his chops. I like his phrasing and general pace of things. It's thrashy, but upbeat at the same time.

I love his playing and style, since I first heard it in 10th grade when Alice was played on MTV. He has such cool note choices on his slow parts and his solos are amazing. He has such a great feel (swing) to his lead work. It's always bouncy, like a great sax solo from the 40's.

As a teen I used to hang out in that place after school. My first guitar came from there. Or well, across the street, before they moved into a bigger place. Funny to see clips pop up here, feels like a whole different life and world now...

Jeff Waters looks like a real down to earth guy. And a good guitar player!

It would be interesting to see what he can do besides thrash though. Based on some of the acoustic and clean stuff, I'm sure he can more than convincingly play some other styles as well.

he really wasn't on my radar screen till I heard his version of VH's Romeo Delight. He brought some pain on that one - with one of the best cover's of that song I've heard - and it's not a real easy song to play authentically.
