Joe Bonamassa's "Bona-Byrd"

Joe's known for having a HUGE collection of guitars, and each week his site is updated with a new "Guitar Of The Week". What are your thoughts on Joe's Les Paul/Firebird 1 Hybrid? I think it's really cool and simple-looking! Definitely wouldn't mind having one.

That's cool.

It manages to look good and unique at the same time.
 
He has a firebird with one minihum that is just awesome I'd rather have.

I would put a bag over her head and hit it one time.............or twice if it was good.
 
that's a great sounding guitar, with a huge neck. Joe uses it capoed on the 2nd fret for the song Slow Train.
 
The only mod I'd have done is having a smaller version of the byrd headstock (like fender's 70s headtock vs their regular headstock)
 
I think it looks really good. Wish I could rock out a "new guitar of the week." :lol: :LOL:

I'd love to see a LP custom/ Firebird VII hybrid.

I like the body and flamed maple wood grain but I have to say the headstock isn't my favorite, however Joeytpg might be on to something. Sometimes, the less is more concept can be a big factor. ;)

I agree :lol: :LOL: I also dislike the whole goldtop with black plastics trend he started, ugly as shit. I wonder if that neck is a 5 pc like firebirds that are neck through or is it just a normal lp neck construction with firebird headstock ?
