John, any tips on getting down that speed strumming kinda thing you do?

Iv watched you play on a few clips/videos and i always notice how you have the whole rapid fire strumming thing down!

Is there anything you can recommend for practicing that?

yah that came from jamming with lots of drummers and trying to "battle" them rthymically. i would suggest just muting the strings and playing straight 16 note strums. when your all cool with that start taking some of they beats out and changing the rhythms. also adding accents here and there. THEN you can add the chord ideas to that stuff and it really takes off.
