I just took these yesterday of my Jose modded April 1969 Super Lead.

Oh my oh my, you've broken the unwritten rule !! Everything Jose related must remain in total secrecy and shrouded in confusing mystery... Men in black are already on their way to your home as I type.

You're awesome for posting those pics. Someone better than I will have to explain what I'm looking at though. I can't follow what I'm seeing...

Looks like it is all tricked out? A MV of some sort for sure and I think a POt to control how much gain or how much of the added preamp tube you want in the signal path. So yeah, more gain on tap where desired. Steve and some of the others should know more about what is going on here. Pretty sure Jose did more than one type of mod depending on what the client wanted so no rules broken. Besides, why shouldn't gut shots be posted? Some people charge a lot of money for his designs/ideas and it was not their idea to start with....

Wow, that makes Cameron look neat! Bet someone wouldn't do that to a '69 Plexi these days!?

I'll explain it for you.

There's a bunch of wires, some toobs and some components and a bunch of other shit.
Thank God not everyone is retarded like me or else we would be playing acoustic guitars. It's beyond me how anyone can figure any of that shit out.
I wonder who the first guy was that sat down, smoked a nice big fat boy and said "fuck it, Ima build an amp."

Jose mod, then Mike Kelley removed the master and added his dynamic mod.

It looks like a Jose/AT&T mod! You have what looks like phone parts and cords in there!

But, how does it sound?

Right?! I know guys who can look at that rats nest and tell me exactly what's going on. I'm lucky if I plug in my speakers correctly.

Thanks for posting the pics. I love seeing stuff like this and seeing the comments.

Correct. It has the "Kelley Limiter" in there which really worked out nicely. Explaining that mod is probably more involved than explaining the Jose mod!

I think it sounds great. As with Jose modded amps they retain their original sound profile but with added steroids! Also it is extremely strong when cranked. Well over 100W at the clip and well over 200W at full power due to the raised B+.

Waiting for this thread to go south. If it doesn't it would be the first Jose-modded Marshall thread to have failed to do so :)
