Just Bought an ADA MP-1

I wish I still had my 3TM modded MP1. It sounded so good, but I needed the money.

Can you please post before and after pics of the mods on the boards.. ?

well ive had a couple snagging issues. gotta get rid of this ibanez before i can do any tut's.

and im still threatening to kill my little brother (hes 18..) for my camera to post both the ibanez and tut's.

the ibanez will pay for the mods and the power amp.. only got 300 back and not 600 with my stimulous check which was unexpected.. so now i have to switch priorities a bit =/

yeah, I've been waiting myself for over 24hrs to down load the mod.zips from the adadepot site.

I guess if you want a 3TM you have to contact the EURO site for the 3TM board and schem

I think I'm gonna try a few of the other "marshall gain" mods on my friends MP1 1st and see what that sounds like - after listening to the clips I'm thinking ADA is the way to go for 80's HAIR GAIN

ive already worked out a 3TM board being sent late next week. got the ADA MP1 in the mail today as well.

havent plugged it up or anything. more interested in tearing into it and doing the mods/tut's.

also theres a battery mod im going to do as well.

also the filter caps will be replaced with the same value, just tighter tolerances for noise control.

im doing it all at school - where i have the expensive solder and such.

...might need to bring a guitar, the 5150.. and post a quick clip right after its done in school

just keeping everyone updated on the 3TM mod instructions with many pics -

he always makes a prototype board with every batch he gets to test the board traces and such. he told me when he finished the prototype model he'd give me a call.

~ 7-8 days or so before hand for a couple more parts. take in shipping and such and ill post another reply when i get it.

also.. anyone have any recommendations for cheap recording so i can do a before/after?

wow had no idea tesla used ada's back in the day. didnt they have 2 guitarists..? or am i thinking of someone else.

the way it is, what you give, heavens trail, changes. cant think of anything else off the top of my head.

i always thought they were marshall endorsers - being as they used slung down LP's its just what i assumed.

who are you getting the 3TM Board from ?? adadepot ?

marshalljmp - he is a lead engineer for bosche washing machines and on the side does the mod business.

adadepot doesnt have anything you need for the mods, you need to go to the forum for updates.

http://www.marshalljmpmodshop.net/ is the site i believe for actually getting the mods available for the ADA's

and im bumping for an update. total costs ended up at about ~$253 for the 3TM shipped and everything - for others looking into it as well. ive got one on its way, he said he's shipping it out tomorrow.

24 left, not including everyone he has set aside for in adadepot's forum members. if your interested make suer you send him an email (not a PM)

he only builds like.. 25 at a time. sells them all then orders more parts to make more of them.

it makes sense, rather than building one at a time =/

i can imagine it would get old and really hard to keep up with.

the forum says the end of next week they will be available (building more of them at once out of that 24 lot total left)

yes, skid row used ada's at one point through 2 marshalls. theres a pic of his rig on ada's site

im a huge skid row fan. i cant wait to do the tutorials for the mods and start messing with it through my 5150!!

They messed around with them for a bit but were really attached to their tubes still, most notably Franks collection of Marshall's and Randall's. Tommy on the other hand did pay with the solid state stuff a bit more.
