I have been using two stacked, closed 1x12 cabs and knew that eventually I'd get an Orange V212. Reading reviews, people seemed to really dig them. I found a used one for $680 and they are normally $1099.
The first thing that was great was the weight. Because they are lighter, two side handles and not bulky, I was able to carry it easily up my stairs to the second floor with no issues.
Once I plugged in, I was amazed at the low end and how much fuller my tone was from the 2x12s. I was using a Friedman 1x12, EVH 5150-III 1x12, and just got an Orange 1x12. They sounded good but this cab is just so full with the open back and two Neo Creambacks. Has a great sound to them. I have a Marshall v212 with the Neo V-Type speakers and I might swap one out for a Neo Creamback eventually.
I like a good bargain anyway but so impressed with the tone too!
