I was installing a tube on my vh4 and I broke one if the connector (the little "legs").... will it work still ? or that tube is fucked already?

Pretty sure if you broke a leg off the tube, it is done as it will no longer have a way of properly receiving the electrical transfer. At least it was only a tube that needs to be replaced! I remember when I had a Crate Blue Voodoo... took out the tubes to check for a possibly bad one, put them in, and when putting one in literally the entire board snapped in half. Absolutely ridiculous...

All the pins on it are doing something. Loss of the single pin will affect functionality of the tube and the amplifier as a result, and not in a good way. Could risk serious damage. Do NOT use it

good, that's what I was afraid....damn! a perfectly NEW ruby HG + tube! fuck me.

crap happens man. of all the things that could f**k up with an amp, be thankful that it's just a simple thing like a preamp tube.

No big deal just use another, wait until you break one that costs a pretty penny  Now that sucks

Bummer. But yeah, at least it wasn't some insanely expensive nos tube or something. Regardless, still a pain.

You didn't leave the pin in the socket did ya? That could be a bit more of a pain.

no, thankfully!

The last batch of HG's and HG+'s had some flimsy pins on them. I sent quite a few back due to that. Send it back.

thank you laura, but I'll spend more sending the tube (I'm in Dominican Republic) :(
