Just got the randall RM4 - 4 mods and their RT 2/50 power amp up and running.

So far I am really liking this setup. I will need to get more modules to experiment and get it all happy, but thus far its a sweet setup!!!

my efx are in stereo as well, sounds a bit more fuller, even into a single stereo 4x12 cab.

I am awaiting my earcandy 2x12, will probally smooth out the sound a bit, the carvin cab is a tad on the bright side.

I think that's what Ty Tabor was using when I saw them.

Huge. Huge tone.

Looks nice man! Modular stuff is killer  Sounds really awesome when you can push it, what modules do you have in your RM4?

right now I have the

randall clean - which is better then I thought it would be, does what its supposed to
Plexi - pretty nice, I like it and will be using it for light drive
Kh2 - my favorite overall, nice and thick, not overly bright
ultra XL - Its pretty nice, took a bit to dial in, my settings are pretty wild to make it sound how I want, its a pretty bright module overall, and eventually I can see me replacing that with something else. I originally wanted the xtc, but it was not in stock at the time. I am interesting in trading up for something else on this possibly.

I like this setup a little more then I did my Axe fx going into the power amp - speakers. Seems just a tad more real, well, cause it is I guess. Axe is out of my rack and back into my studio rack, where I wanted it originally anyway.

The Carvin cabs gonna go to, waiting for my ear candy cab to arrive hopefully soon. the Carvin is a bright cab, so it can get harsh at times.

Killer set-up, congrats.....

I actually just sold mine off, in favor of the VHT, but regardless, the MTS stuff is GREAT!

Cool! I have been interested to see how different the Randall modules are compared to the Egnater ones, but the current rig covers so much tonal ground already. I ended up integrating the AxeFX into my rack for just FX and bypassed the amps in the preset and I have the controller setup to turn on/off effects as well as the GCX loops. Haven't had much time to tweak the AxeFX too much though. So far I am really happy with the setup, I should stop gear whoring it up and get more play time in, but with the recent raise/promotion I ended up with more work and job duties

Cool stuff! I have the following Randall amps right now and am really happy with them.

RM4 + RT 2/50 racked with a Gmajor
RM100 head in palomino
RM50 head
RM20 head
RM20 combo

and tons of modules, but they come and go since I mod em and sell em pretty regularly.

Do the Egnater modules work in the RM20?

Never thought I would say this to a guy,

but nice rack!!

I want to eventually get an egnater mod or 2 (single) and throw those in my rm4, but for now (money wise), I will probally try another randall mod or 2 first. I am looking to swap the ultra xl out for another high gain mod I think. I love the axe fx's fx, though I still like my G-system's efx, does most of what I need, and have it setup to my liking, ease of changing fx. I bought the axe to be a stay at home box, and had to use it out for a bit, but I am glad (and kinda sad) that its back. It was pretty nice just bringing a box and guitar to play you know, now its back to bringing speakers cabs and all..

Yep. On the two channels there's a mod you have to do to get to the 2nd channel - Hilligan knows about that.

Here's a shot of my lil' rack from awhile back:

I love the way your modules look, is that the old way before the blackstripe versions?

how is the top boost? I may be thinking of replacing my plexi with the top boost if it does light drive better (smoother)

All of those faceplates are customs that I did and do for clients. I modded an XTC module for Michael Wagener (He's recorded Ozzy, King's X, Skid Row among others) and made his faceplate red. It looks pretty cool!

Top boost is a weird one, there's a factory mod for it on the mts page that will cut the gain considerably. Stock it's much gainier than the Plexi.
