The secret to Youtube is send them a version where the audio isn't mastered super hot. Like, seriously, you're better off leaving it way lower than you'd want it to be because they run a normalization routine on all vids for the audio that will cut off hot signals in a really shitty digitized hard-cut brickwall style. But it will also raise what it considers "too quiet" signals. Not video wide, but it looks for the loudest part of the vid and then uses that as the top of what it considers "loud."

All that to say is, essentially, turn down your audio master for youtube. Leave it up for places that don't run a normalization to keep your volume where you want it.

By no means a comparison but I just got to messing around seeing my little 20W Marshall with a couple of pedals would sound... Not playing it entirely nor properly... But I was having fun... Shot with iphone so no multi-tracks here

(forgive the weird ringing/feedback... I'll yell at the recording engineer )
