I wanted to take the step to a more serious digital rig for some years now, being so impressed with the Line 6 UX1 I didn't feel the urge to upgrade to anything else until I heard about the Axe-FX..
I was originally going for the Axe, but being more than double the price to the 11R (here in in sweden), plus ProTools LE is included..
The nail was hit in when I heard so many great soundclips from the 11R and it seems to have a better/more userfriendly Interface which I like since I'm mostly a player, though i love tweaking..
Any owners of the Unit on here? Any good Youtubeclips of it? Never tried one yet, ordered based on quality of the clips and information from both the web and the salespeople at the store.

I'm keeping my Fulltone OCD to use with this, since I read it takes pedals well, and this I love!
So if this pleases me enough it will not only serve as a recordingmaching, but also as my mainrig for potential gigging.. Sounds really tempting just connecting it to the board, using its amp/cab models and still getting that kickass sound!
So I'm selling both my Switchblade halfstack, pedals and MAYBE my HT-5 Combo w. ext. 10" cab. Or should I keep the HT-5 stack and run the 11R through it, utilizing only the amps poweramp?

So no Axe-FX :( But hopefully I'll be pleased with this unit, which seems more simple and fitting for me..
Any good rackcases for this thing?

I would do this. Two reasons...you can use it as a power amp but mainly, don't sell an amp you like for a modeler you may or may not like. If you find you gell with the 11R, then sell it and find a suitable power amp for your needs. If you don't, you haven't lost a nice amp.

The 11R is a pretty cool unit, but it doesn't sound as good as the AxeFX, but it'll be a step up from Line6. However, it does feel more like a real amp than the AxeFX. I don't know if it is the true Z input or what.

The Eleven will serve you well in the studio if your focus is mostly classic guitar tones. The fact that it comes with Pro Tools 8 and that it's a computer audio interface helps in justifying the cost. To use it live you'll have to buy some proper speakers so no cost savings in selling your amp. The Axe is vastly superior for modern high gain tones and wildly effected sounds.

Greetings...
I have a Switchblade half-stack AND an Eleven Rack (small world - doesn't seem to be many of us H&K users on the board...). I would keep the Switchblade and use it along with the Eleven Rack. You can use them as stand-alone rigs, as a pre into the Switchblade, or in the loop. The Switchblade has a distinct tone and I have no problem justifying them both. Your needs and mileage may vary

yeah i love the switchblade, but aint gigging now, so in the future when that occurs i plan on connecting straight to the pa, musehuhhastyle. and maybe monitor it with the ht-5stack
