Never liked the Crue but I have that disc

+1

Vince shoulda never gone back to the Crue....his Exposed band was 10x better.

Exposed is a killer disc!!! I love Steve's playing on the track 'Look In Her Eyes' :rawk:

that CD fucking RULES

The Edge is an amazing song....ripping tone and playing from Stevens on that one..now I have to go dig that up =D

Yep, oldie but a goodie. I've always loved Vince on recordings. But get him out live on tour and he only sings about every other line in a song and he's so outta breath all the time.

I purchased that when it came out because of Steve Stevens.
I use to like the Crue, but after seeing Vince Neil's porn tape, I just don't look and hear the Crue the same way. :(

a band called Hethen..the song's pretty much the same...but when it comes to the lead break? well there's no fuckin' comparison...Stevens grabs that lead by the short and curlies and goes apeshit..lol

Haven't heard it.....was "Set me free" the cover of the Sweet tune from the album "Desolation Boulevard"??....I still have it somewhere....

Bro, Ive been saying it for years bro, Whether you like or hate Vince Neil, the album is worth it on Steve Stevens playing alone, He pretty much schools 95% of his contemporaries on that album. His rhythm and lead work is exemplary and AFAIC , established himself as one of the all time greats with that offering, its why hes one of my all time faves and influences.

Check out Steve Stevens and the Atomic Playboys, If you cant find it, let me know and Ill burn it for ya. His new solo album Memory crash is pretty good as well

Its only my opinion but the three times that I saw SS on tour w/ Vince , they rocked harder than any Crue show that I ever saw... absolutely phenomenal live. Steve was playing EVH axis's and 5150's, all gifts from Eddie I hear(Vince was opening up for VH then)

That CD kicks so much ass, yet it went largely unnoticed, even in the "guitar circles". For the record, "set me free" was originally by Sweet, later covered by Heathen. The Heathen version is pretty damn good. What ever happened to Lee Altus??

Vince Neil needs a beatdown. Lets put Bret Michaels on that list too.

I had this disc years ago, but lost it somehow... I may have to dig around and find another copy!
