It has to be the best feeling in the world playing a gig like that. I'm looking forward to seeing you in Detroit in a few months.

Sounds awesome  can’t wait to see the show in Boston! (aka Mansfield)

Those are mighty big shoes to fill.
And you wear them quite well!

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CONGRATs on such killer gigs you have going! Any inside info on your adventures with Dave are hugely appreciated. (you know we're all fans here!)

Nice! I agree the band sounds great and you guys have a great balance of the tones and the vocals, etc. Dave is sounding so much better too!

 Yeah!!! This is so great after watching your videos here. Dreams do come true sometimes, and I'm jelly. :D :D

Al,

I have been a big fan of yours for years. All the props to you and being able to play on the biggest of stage backing DLR. I must say with all the nay sayers posting negative things online about DLR, I feel quite the opposite. For some reason DLR seems extremely "comfortable" on stage with you and the backing band and has gotten back his swagger. His voice sounds fine and the backing vocals of the band are top notch.

Not trying to make this a DLR post but the first show in Vegas where the person filming the video from the front row (basically up Dave's crotch) was picking up Dave's vocal monitors and nothing more. Noticed Dave is not going with in ears and that first Vegas show was a poor representation based on that one set of videos. I am sure Dave has those monitors set a certain way just for his liking on stage. Funny other videos came out from different vantage points of the venue and the sound was amazing and so was Dave's vocals. This guy has set the bar for being a rockstar and showman and still has it. I really think you and this band are making him young again!

Great job Al and great accomplishment.

Robert

Got to play this song with Steve Vai in the audience/backstage. He said "you weren't suppose to play my parts better than me" haha, very cool of him to say!

Yes the first Vegas shows were Dave's first shows in 5 years...he does position his monitors away from him and doesn't use IEM's, trying to sing over 100+ db onstage isn't a easy task, he likes the guitar very loud onstage! I'm currently playing through 4 Marshall cabs, 2 on each side of the stage, haven't played this loud since I was a teenager haha
