Just plugged my Eventide Pitchfactor in and I might be having some issues

Hey guys I plugged in the Pitchfactor the display lit up normally I selected the 910/949, according to the manual when you turn any of the control knobs like Mix Pitch Mix PitchA Pitch B and so forth those control parameters are supposed to be displayed on the billboard screen so you can see what the present value is and adjust it to your desired setting.

Directly from the manual it says: "Whenever a control knob is turned, the Billboard displays the parameter's name and value."

When I turn any of the control knobs is still shows the 910/949 display only. When I turn the Depth Key knob the display is real jittery and shows some parameter settings I assume but it just displays for a milisecond and reverts back to the 910/949 screen display. I have read the manual and it seems pretty clear cut as to how things are supposed to function.

So according to the manual this Pitchfactor is not operating correctly unless I'm missing something... my excitement is waning. I should have bought this new I guess. It looks to be in good shape so hopefully I'm overlooking something but my spidy senses an issue.

Any suggestions? Do I need to do anything to activate the control knobs to display their setting on the display screen? THX!

I took today off to play with this Pitchfactor and I'm pretty bummed. I watched a tone of Pitchfactor videos and I think this unit is faulty. No matter what 10 effect models are selected when each effect is selected and then activated with the footswitch(orange LED) none of the 10 parameters control knobs display on the Billboard display when being turned. Every video I watched showed the instant they turned any of the control knobs the current setting displayed in real time while they were turning the knob, MIX, Pitch A, Pitch B Delay A Delay B, Pitch Mix.

I have sent the seller an message within Ebay letting him know what I'm seeing, this guy has 100% feedback for 20 years like I do, I can't believe he would send me a nonfunctional unit. Again I'm really hoping I am missing something simple but I don't think so. So bummed....

Yeah me too, it's just disappointing I was really built up over this, serves me right hah... If the unit was having any issues on the owners part he should not have shipped it. period. There was no damage to the box whatsoever and it looks to be in great shape. I was all set to hear glorious Eventide detune/harmonizing but instead now I have to joust with the seller.

The unit does pass signal and it bypasses but there is very little harmonizing effect to the effected tone when not bypassed, I am afraid something is faulty especially since the control knobs don't activate when turned when the selected effect like micropitch or 910/949 is activated via the footswitch.

I'm hoping one of the RT guys here with one will say hey just do this ya dummy you missed something so we will see... otherwise I'll be asking for a refund. The seller described it as mint condition and barely used, it looked good and the seller had impeccable feedback so I figured I was good...

I highly doubt this was damaged in shipping he packed it well with plenty of bubblewrap and overpack. I just hope he doesn't flake on me and start accusing me of damaging the unit, we'll see, I sent a very non accusatory message to him telling of what I was seeing and that is was not behaving like what I see in countless PF videos.

To restore factory presets and all system settings, power up while simultaneously pressing the middle footswitch and the encoder until [INITIALIZING] scrolls across the billboard display. CAUTION: This function will overwrite any presets that you've saved. If you want to be able to restore one or more of your presets you must first save them to a computer.

CAUTION: This function will overwrite any presets that you've saved. If you want to be able to restore one or more of your presets you must first save them to a computer.

I just did as you suggested. I powered it up while holding the middle footswitch and the encoder and it did display INITIALIZING scrolled across the billboard display. I then selected diatonic with the encoder knob and after selecting it I turned any of the Mix and control knobs and still nothing.

I think I have spent enough time with it and it definitely does not work like the manual lays out and the YT vids show. The seller messaged me back and said if I need to get it fixed he would pay to have me send it to Eventide for repair so for me that is suspect right there. In response I said it should have been 100% functional per his description upon receipt and it should work per the manual and as seen on multiple YT vids show so I politely asked for a return label and refund.

He stated he does not accept returns but he obviously doesn't know the current climate on EBAY which is a shame I wish this thing would have worked, if it died two days later then that would have been on me. He made comments in his reply like I rarely used it and never had any issues so I am unfamiliar with what you are describing so I think he is going to try to fight the return.
