Just Scored: Quad Celestion G12C - Sweet!!!!

Finally! So like the title says, I just scored a quad of Celestion g12c speakers for 400 bucks American!! Now, disclaimer - it was on Reverb and I haven't received them yet so this whole thing could turn into a horse abortion, but I'm still pretty excited cause I've been trying for so long to get a set of these.
It never failed, whenever I saw a cab for sale I didn't have the cash ready and when I had cash I could never find them for sale.

I've even got a pretty nice Marshall can to put them in.

These were the speakers in the Vintage Modern cabs and some of tbr Hendrix cabs. Suppose to be a bit different than a G12M. They sounded like a greenback to me, but I didn't have the cab for all that long.

They are the speakers that came in the Hendrix cabs (purple) and also in the Vintage Modern cabs. 25 watt greenback variants. They sound great under high gain and sound sweet for clean work too. Hard to find and only made as a custom order now (as far as I know).

Benn looking at getting a set of these for more than a few years.

Yeah that my luck working overtime. I sold the Cobra and an FJA modded 6505+ to pick up that EVH Stealth and boom there's the speakers I've been looking for. :facepalm:

I'll definitely pick up another Cobra again someday but I might just keep it stock when I do.



Or maybe a Diezel Herbert and a Mills Afterburner to set it on.

I had the JH100 full stack, These speakers sounded good but at the time I had 2 more cabs so I sold those off because I needed the money but they sounded like greenbacks to me!

You'll love them with the EVH. I'm not the biggest GB fan but my first 5153 50w I had a VM B cab....sounded great with it. Darker than regular greenies but still better IMO. Great speaker.

Good to hear! I just got around to tracking them and three of them are scheduled for delivery today and one is pending for Thursday...

I hate to wait!!
