This guy makes YJM look like chopped liver. Although I liked YJM back in the day, (Alcatraz) YJM just doesn't do it for me anymore.

And yes, Igor builds his own hybrid Fenders, similar to what my father and I did/do. Except we build only 6 and 12-string jumbo acoustic guitars.

He and YJM are so very different - I don't even understand the comparison, except maybe to cast aspersions on Yngwie. Which is old.

This guy's some some great speed and fluidity. His sweeps are clean and clear - not an easy thing to do at any speed. I loved his sweep tapping!

I find his style of playing to be much closer to Satriani - with better tone (sorry Joe!).

+1 Just because someone sweep picks does not mean they are trying to copy or "improve" on YJM. This guy, while very good sounds like any number of nameless guitar players from the 80's. Very good but yawn. As much as I am from the 70's and 80's, I understand that this style of music had its day.

I could easily see a comparison to Greg Howe, there are lots of similarities in their playing styles, but the guy is really good, so why bother??
