Me and my man Jason Burns chopped up a Justin Bieber tune and made a video to go with it to launch our collaborative effort, Red Door Audio.

All guitar tones are a Kemper Profiling Amp.

Are we open to criticism on this? I'm usually a fan of your riffage but I found this to be meh simply because nothing can really be done with that shitty song in the first place. Some drop D ta- ta - ta the whole way through was kind of boring to me. You guys could have easily killed it on a much better bieber tune... I liked the video and the tone though!

PS- I know this begs the question "is there such a thing as a BETTER Bieber tune??" Good point.. maybe one with more movement and tempo.

The song was picked because it's the only Bieber song I've ever heard (heard it on accident driving my wife's Hummer because she doesn't have an iPhone 5 cable in it lol) and the riffage was intentionally left in tact to follow the song. The goal was to make a video that followed the original feel of the song that would appeal to a large audience. I made an intentional decision to not cater to guitar nerds.

I told fluff, "I want something people would play at a club." and when he wanted to do a playthrough video, I said, "screw that, it'd be way funnier if we did this excessive high budget looking music video."

Believe me it drove me INSANE to try to come up with fresh sections on a song that literally repeats the same 3 chords over and over again.

Next time I get to pick the shity pop song!
