Jeff,

Will you guys mod existing MHGs to JHX specs? How different is it compared to running MHG with bright switch engaged?

Yup your MHG can be modified to the JXH specs...more pronounced upper mids than high end!
 
Jeff,

Any chance you could fire up a MOD 50 at the shop with MHG and JXH set the same and give us a rough clip? I talked to Frank yesterday about getting my MHG modded but Im worried about it being too bright. I have an SLO, which I consider too bright. Just how bright does this JHX get?

Ya clips would be AWESOME of that mod .

I bet it is a lil more like the Mr Scary but with Bruce"s smoothness and refinement
 
sorry we are all on vacation as of Friday! After that I will do some comparison clips....nothing official just my recording. The MHG can get bright..but IMO not obnoxious like the SLO can get.

Well dont want it to be called the X module as to cause confusion of it being based on the Xtacy module or head...So I got to make up the letters! Jeff X Hilligan, its only temporary till we decide on a new one!

BUMP for Jeff.

Now that youre back, could we please have those rough clips of MHG vs JHX/X/EG5? I want to decide if I should send in my MHG to be modded! It could have used a little more cut last week at rehearsal where my SL2 just KILLED!

If we don't have band practice tonight, I will do a clip of the X/JXH/EG5 and post it along with clips of the VX, T/D and SL2.
 
I am dying to know if this mod adds a lot of cut or really brightens the tone. We play a lot of heavy modern rock but cut is always good. I am not looking for 80s metal here. :)
