K.K and Glenn really ripped on Ram it Down

So hear me out, I love Painkiller and it sort of was the re-emergence of a new heavier and meaner Priest at the time but I had forgotten how bad ass the playing was on Ram it Down. Chorus overload aside, you can tell they were just hitting their stride and new sound for what would later be the follow up album. Songs wise it may not be as good an album but K.K and Glenn absolutely destroy the leads on this one. That lead harmony break at 3:10 of Ram it Down is beautiful. Anyone else listen to this one in a while? I don't know why it popped in my head after 10+ years of not having listened to it but music is funny that way..

I have that song on my IPOD and notice I start running much faster when I'm listening to it. LOL

Ram it Down is very underrated. I saw this tour...Met Center...Bloominton MN...Cinderella opened...Long Cold Winter tour. Was a great show.

yeah Ram It Down is great apart from the Johnny be Goode cover. Why they chose to release that as a single is beyond me. I hear people saying "painkiller" was Priest going "thrash" but the song Ram it Down is faster than the Painkiller song so WTH haha

I thought RiD bridges the change from early Priest up to Turbo what has come from Painkiller onwards which to me makes it a very important album

Totally agree.
As a Priest fan I always found it strange when people would make out Ram it Down to be a sort of Turbo Pt. II. It's WAY heavier.

Also loved the fact that when Jim Breuer did his stand-up routine about 80's rock and metal, he did the opening scream of Ram it Down, to the exact same pitch!

I saw this show in Philadelphia. Amazing!
I'll have to revisit this disc. My memory of it was that it was great aside from the glaring fact that the drums were so inferior to Painkiller that it made it hard to enjoy as much.
