Kahler Steeler bar issue

Recently traded into a guitar with a Kahler Steeler, "improved?" Floyd Rose trem. Tren bar was missing so I ordered a new one from Kahler USA. Here is my issue. If I screw the bar in just tight enough to where it DOESN'T swing freely, there is no play in the bar when you go to use it, which is what I want. If I rotate the bar 1 revolution counter clockwise it swings freely like I want, but there is a lot of slop in the bar before it starts changing pitch. By slop I mean you have to depress or pull up on the bar alot before it changes pitch. My Gotoh Floyds and original Floyd don't have this issue. Any ideas? Did Kahler USA possibly send me the wrong bar?

If the thread pitch doesn't match, that might explain it. A quick search suggests that 1/4"-28 is the one you want. Is that what they sent?

No problem. It would be strange if they messed up their own part, but anything is possible.
