lol - The speaker is named Karnivore, not Kannable
It sounds good to me.

What is this frequency that bothers you guys about V30's? Is it the 5-6k spike or is it something lower? Cause some V30's can sound really smooth and not have that 5-6k spike. Also, it seems to me that it's mostly Chinese V30's that have that upper mid thing going on which usually makes them sound more aggressive than the UK V30's. They can both sound really good and mix ready though. Some do sound very spikey though, it's a crap shoot with V30's, you just gotta hope you get some good ones.

I like how balanced the karnivore is but you know it's not going to cut through a live mix as well as most celestions do, if that's a concern for you??

Yes I think that's the freq range but I personally like it, for some amps and some cabs. Especially since I don't do recordings or quiet bedroom levels. Just medium to very loud volume live use. So that's also why I have a cab with each. One 412 loaded with Chinese V30s and another with UK V30s. Both cabs and speakers from 2007.

They both sound different, albeit are different impedances as well. The Chinese ones have those gnawing KAW & shhhhh upper mids, big bass and raspy treble but I personally like that about them. The UK ones don't have that. They are smoother, but still aggressive.

I won't use my JSX or 5153 50w heads with the Chinese V30s because those amps already have an abundance of what those speakers offer frequency wise so it gets either too peaky, or too flat sounding. No in between. But the amp's sounds fantastic through the UK V30s.

Then on the other hand, my Krank Rev and Katana Artist heads love the Chinese V30s more than the UK ones, so that's what they get played though. But there are some bad sounding Chinese V30s too, like the ones made in the first year, 2002(?) and between 2013-2016 is what read.

Yeah, whatever that 5-6k thing is. I don't think I've ever even owned a Chinese V30. Mine have all been Mesa V30s ranging from 2003-2023, and they have all had this.

I haven't had any issues with Karnivores cutting through a mix...
