I have a ton of Keeley Pedals and may have had a Red Dirt at one point but can't even remember. I have heard good things about this as a boost for my 5150-III Blue Channel. Anyone own one of these and have any input? As a reference, I use the Keeley D&M as a boost right now and have a Keeley Oxblood as well.

The Red Dirt Germanium is pretty sweet. The other guitar player in my band just got one and I really like it.

I used one in this way for a while. It’s definitely not a clean boost, but I did like it better than the tube screamer when used in a similar way.

I have the germanium version. It does color the tone somewhat but not necessarily in a bad way.

My D&M works great so maybe I should just hang on to that one. I'm not sure if it would be a significant enough upgrade.
