Keith's a decent player, but it would have been more interesting with Brad Paisley. Paisley of course would school Mayer.

I'm looking forward to it. Should be a good show.

That would be awesome and keith and brad have performed together before. They did their duet Start A Band at one of the awards shows and that is one to look up on youtube. but I think the idea of crossroads is to pair a country player with an artist from another genre.

I have seen Paisley. Guy is a freak of a musician. Different that Nuno, but similar in how they can play some killler lick and look like they are thinkng about what sub to order while at Subway.

Keith is more than decent, much higher caliber player than mayer.

Although, every time somebody bags on mayer there is always some one who comes in to say that guitar players hate on Mayer because he is better looking, successful, and more talented than any guitar playing critic. The funny thing is, Keith Urban has all those same attributes in spades but I don't have anything bad to say about him.

+1000000 keith is way better than mayer in my opinion. when i hear mayer i hear a bunch of stolen licks, not so with keith. he is a very original artist. i seen keith in concert bout 2 years ago. he was amazing.

Keith is definitely a monster player, probably second only to Paisley in the country genre and for sure is the better player compared to Mayer. I dont think anyone would debate that. Keith definitely has the tastier licks in this clip. Im looking forward to the show.

Ive seen both Urban and Mayer live and while both did what they did well, Keith's show blew me away completely. Awesome live act.

That is interesting how its true that no one bags on Keith Urban though he does have it all...great songs, really good voice, great chops, hot wife, good looks. The difference from Mayer is that he always seems to be such a genuinely nice and humble guy in interviews. Its either true or hes a great actor (maybe his wife gave him some free lessons? :) )

Maybe it's because Urban seems like a nice guy, where as Mayer comes across in every interview as a complete and utter douchebag, undeserving of any acclaim he gets.

Most of my favorite players are well documented assholes, so I don't really think that is it either...

It is probably just that I don't care to listen to a well practiced frat boy regurgitate other people's licks.

They have already done that one.......................Youtube it.
Seemed pretty cool, tasteful not trying to out duel each other.

Personally, I admire the skills that each has. Both are great songwriters and musician's. Like others have said, Keith seems like a genuinely nice person while Mayer comes across as a friggin' douche (at least from the opinion I've built watching them on TV...). I can only hope to approach that level of chops...

Someone said that Keith had a hot wife. PLEASE! She's about 90 pounds and nearly transparent! Someone needs to set her out in the sun and buy her a hamburger once in a while. (Not trying to start anything - personal opinion, bro :) )
