Hi all:

Downloaded a bunch of new Bogner profiles onto my Kemper recently and decided to do a little demo of two of them.

Just basically hit record in Garageband and played whatever came to mind. The first part is a profile called Bogner XTC Channel 1 where it's pretty much all clean and I go through all the pickup selections. The second part uses FastRedPony's Bogner profile he posted not too long ago and is much more crunchy.

Guitar is my Melancon Classic Artist T. Playing is very so-so but really wanted to hear these profiles "on tape" and figured there is a lot of Kemper fans on the forum so I should share.

Love it man. I profiled a herbert the other day put a boost out in front and it captured it perfectly. The clean on the herbert is one of the best IMHO. It captured it as well. That would be an awesome profile to stick a Bogner red in front of the kemper. I bet it would sound amazing...

Thanks for the feedback. Really appreciate it. Love the Kemper. Now I just need a humbucker equipped guitar.

Neither of those sounded very good. :aww:

I am all for constructive criticism. Was curious what you didn't like about it? Was it the playing, the tone, all of it? I take absolutely no offense to you not digging it but perhaps your reasons could lead to an improvement for me. Thanks for taking the time to listen.

The top end has a strange splatty thing going on. Tone is thin all around. The second half where the gain kicks in has this odd cocked wah sound to it that isn't very pleasing.
The reverb is pretty bad.
Nothing to say about the playing, that's fine. Just not sure the tones are very musical.

i hear the top end ringing during arpeggiated notes, maybe that's what you're referring to?
the reverb has some high diffusion going on, yes..but i think it sounds nice, but could be perceived as a bit tinny, depending on ear sensitivity i guess.

love the dirty tone.
nice and balanced to my ears!

I decided to put together another quick clip.

This one is pretty much all of my favorite clean to cleanish profiles I use. Profiles include a ReinHeart, Pro Reverb, AC30, Morgan AC20, and a Two Rock.

I tend to favor these type of sounds more since I only have guitars with single coils at the moment so I think this has better sound quality than the last clip.
