Hey late nighters
I just recut some guitars from a tune a did a few years back.
It's a Kemper profile with a Fortin modded Marshall & D-Moll molted into 1 profile, repeated on several settings
I used all the channel 2 from DMoll & the "lo gain" (lol) settings on the Fortin. The D-Moll fills out most of the girth & gain while the Fortin adds a nice clarity and top end that really gives a nice sheen. Problem is I'm now hooked on this multiamp setup, causing me to slow down on selling stuff off

Dug it. That is some BEEF dude. Gonna jam this on some headphones. Would love to play that; it's gotta hit like a sledgehammer.

Thanks Stein!
It's quite different from my previous thicker Rhecto profile in that this low end is so tight and just sits in the mix perfectly. Mostly due to mic placements, but yes that Fortin-DMoll combo is sooo much fun

That is awesome! Are these profiles separate or do you have them combined some how? May have to buy these as they sound super thick.

Thanks!
I combined them into 1 profile:

I then would tweak each amp (gain, mids, etc) to get a a bunch of variations- but each profile has both amps baked into it.
Interestingly, ch2 of DMoll & Fortin lo gain are beautiful together, as is the ch3 & hi gain paring.
But mix the DMollch2 with Fortin hi gain, or DMollch3 with Fortinlow gain- and there is serious phase cancellation making it a bad combo. I did not even bother with those combos. I imagine it has to do with gain staging.

Next up is Fortin & Rhodes Recto....

Do you have a phase switch on your preamp. Would solve your issue. Or get a speaker cable with one end soldered with reverse polarity. Cheap and effective.

I didn't even bother to try the phase switch, I'll have to experiment with that...I just figured crunch goes with crunch, hi gain goes with hi gain. The gain ranges in the amp are broad enough I have lots of options to use in combining the tones; each amp's "crunch" goes from a dirty clean tone to very high levels of gain
