Kemper clip of a Fortin modded Marshall

I did six total tonight - set up the Fortin on my Bogner 4x12 in the garage, put a MXL144 Ribbon mic on it into a ART tube preamp, into the Kemper. Did the green, yellow and red lead channel with 1/4 and around 1/2 gain on each.

I'm going to see if I can do better tomorrow with my Recto armored 4x12. :D

And yeah, you and everyone else who wants em are welcome to the Fortin profiles. Did your amp come in yet?

Yeah, I want to post all my 'home made' ones up in one shot. I'm pretty happy with the MXL144, for a cheapo ribbon mic it sounds pretty good, just darker than I'm used to but has a fuller tone than I usually get from say an SM57 or E609.

Thanks Scott. Yup, 210 JVM. I'm pretty amazed at the feature set on these, very cool. I'm playing one of the side stages at Rocklahoma next month and will probably take the Fortin instead of the Kemper since it's outside and probably generator power.

Gain was at about 10 oclock, or maybe 35% or so. I have a Splawn modded Marshall that I never have to put the gain past noon, I think this one has more gain though. This thing on red lead channel and 10 oclock gain is like my Ultralead was with the gain almost dimed. I think Fortin puts plutonium or something in his amps.

That sounded nice!

All this Kemper talk and clips make me wonder should I invest into one as well? But I would be going for a live rig solution. Would that make any sense?!
 
Great! I get my black Kemper in on Thursday.......can't wait to try this profile and all the others........if you can "have" that amp's tone/feel in the room just by downloading then that is just too cool........never played a Fortin..... :)

Pete - I got my first one about two months ago, but one of the buttons was broken on it, so I had to send it back to AMS. By the time they got it back, they were out of stock and I had to wait again. So, I've only had this about two weeks! :)

There is enough gain even for CC Deville :lol: :LOL:
