Absolutely sick playing Pete, Damn!

And the tone is freaking amazing that you're pulling out of that thing!
Can you through a pedal in front of it and have it react to the kemper like the amp?

Thanks for postin this, on my 3rd listen

Thanks for the kind words guys. Lance - you can put a 'virtual' pedal in front, and they seem to respond pretty well. I've seen some guys profiling stomp boxes on the forum and not real sure how that's working, haven't checked it out yet. I haven't tried a 'real' pedal yet but I will.

Pete
Some of the stomp box profiles are ok. They sound like a pedal into a not great amp. Which is probably the case or it was paired with a nOt perfect cab match in Kemper. But there was one or so that was decent. I like the ts model in the Kemper

Where the hell is the single coil hum in your clip? Cleans up really well, handles dynamics really well assuming all you did was raise and lower the volume know and/or flick the pup switch.

I had the noise gate barely on. I could have made it completely silent, but it starts to mess with the volume rolled back tones - but to be honest, much less than the axe fx gate. All I did was change pickups and volume levels on the guitar. It reminds me a bit of my trainwreck clone except the 'wreck is higher gain.

Holy crap you were ripping it up Pete!!

I'm a day late and a dollar short on this Kemper thing. So it's a rig emulator and you can download other peoples profiled amps and just roll with it?

Sounds like the ultimate tool. Looks like I got some reading to do.

Thanks man! General idea is, you put a mic on your favorite amp, and this gizmo will duplicate the tone. Then you can swap that amp tone with others. This one was my '72 Marshall.

Pete

Sounds very amp-like. The Kemper folks have done something pretty cool. What is the weird noise at 3:27?

Now, can you play your amp that well? :D

best kemper clip i've heard

Thanks Pat, this is like getting kudos from the GodfatherOfTone. :D Can't wait for you and Ralph and some of the other RT Elders to get ahold of one of these. I know it sounds like I'm drinking the Jonestown Koolaid but it is friggin' amazing.

I played a gig weekend before last with the Kemper, used my bogner xtc profiles and a marshall one. Went direct to the board. We used a presonus FW board and recorded a seperate track for each instrument, then took it to the studio where our bassist does some work and he mixed it down. Also had the owner of the studio check it out - both were amazed at how good the kemper sounded - just like an amp. They didn't have to do any radical EQing either - mainly just setting the levels with the other instruments.

Pete

Man I'd love to stop the amp merry go round and just be happy with one of these....
