Kemper "Friedman Brown Eye" Clip - Mercyful Fate

So there is a great couple of threads over at the Kemper forum where a guy named Tim Owens (not Ripper) is doing a metric shit ton of Friedman Brown Eye, Small Box and Dirty Shirley profiles. He is also … wait for it … TAKING REQUESTS!!! He is also working on some Quick Rod clips.

Many of them are VERY good. Here is one I was messing with this morning. Decided to throw this clip together. Not meant to be a full mix, just feeling the profile out. The one thing I noticed for my needs is that there is a "Boost" set up in the "X" button slot which really makes these profiles jump out.

You use what you got I suppose. Certainly saved me thousands buying one at GC then returning a month later after profiling it … I think the profiles sound pretty damn good. Better than quite a few of the other Friedman profiles out there. I love that you can basically send him ANY settings on the amps and he'll get it profiled for you.

Not trying to hijack this thread but your Splawn Mammoth Monsterpiece Clip is fantastic. Could you please tell which amp is used here and which pedal? Or is this also a Kemper clip? For me it sounds like a real amp. Is Mammoth Monsterpiece an Overdrive pedal? Let me know please. Thanks !

Thanks. That was my 2013 Splawn Quick Rod and the pedal os front he company Monsterpiece and it is called the C.O.D. It is based of the Colorsound Overdriver. I sold the pedal as my Black Arts Coven does the same sound and more.

No kemper on that recording. I will be profiling my Splawn with and without all my boost pedals (USA Rat2, Black Arts Coven, Maxon 808X)
