Ok so I LOVE these profiles! These are a few of the Friedman Dirty Shirley profiles that guy Tim Owens is doing on the Kemper forum. This was just to test the Dirty Shirley. This riff from KISS has been bouncing around in my head so I repurposed the drums from the Urge Overkill track.

Here is a test using the High and Low inputs.

Used my Mammoth Cutom Les Paul and Ibanez BTB bass

First clip is:
HO1 DS Low-4 on left/right tracks
HO1 DS Low-7 on center track with "Boost & Dist in the B slot"

Second clip is:
HO1 DS High-4 on left/right tracks
HO1 DS High-7 on center track with "Boost & Dist in the B slot"

Then just some incessant noodling on the DS High-7 profile with verb/delay and I switch the Dist in slot B back on

Soundcloud:

These profiles do great mid 80's rock and hard rock. There are some REALLY good low gain classic rock type ones as well. If you have a Kemper, grab these!!! They NEED the "Pure Boost" engaged. He has it in all his profiles on the "X" button.

Damn. That sounds good. Must fight Kemper GAS.

Thanks man! As I said, I love this set of profiles. The face he's taking "tone requests" and profiling for free is awesome.

I'm telling you, this damn Kemper is the best musical investment I've made.

WIN.

Yeah...sounds so darn good. Great job Jer on the clip!

Sounds awesome brother! Loved those tones. I need to spend some time with Tim Owens' profiles. Not sure where to start but some of the amps he has worked with sound great.

Aren't these the Friedman Small Box profiles? That what it says in your Soundcloud under the clip.

Yeah, it's the Dirty Shirley. I mislabeled it and didn't realize.

Thanks dude! Very cool thing Tim is doing. I love that these really needed no tweaking on my end. Like I said, that Pure Boost assigned to the "X" button makes them pop. I assume I could just up the volume of the profile to achieve the same effect?

Ok, so it is the Shirley.......sounds great dude!

I haven't tried any of Tim's stuff yet, but I've certainly been downloading all his profiles from his threads on the KPA forums!

Great service Tim is doing for free......ya gotta love that kind of forum community vibes!

Is he doing all of his profiles with the cab baked in or does he do just amp head alone as well?

Yup. I fixed the info on the Soundcloud clip.

It really is awesome that he is doing this. He does have some of the new style profiles of the Brown Eye I think but I haven't updated to the 2.8 firmware. Waiting for 3.0 to officially be released. Between Tim's profiles, the ones I got from Vrad, xRay … I am really well covered. Still going to profile MY Quick Rod on principal alone but I really don't NEED to! LOL!

To my untrained ear, no one could ever tell me that's a digital signal.

But yeah, you're killing it with all the clips as well. All the stuff lately has been diamond in a goats ass tight

Never thought I would hear someone play something off Unmasked. That's awesome!

Thanks man! I am seriously in deep smit with the Kemper. I have been late for work every day for the last 2 weeks! I figured most people might be getting annoyed with all the clips but I can't help myself!

Oh man, I love most anything from KISS!

ALIVE! made me want to pick up a guitar when I was in 2nd grade. I am actually trying to ether record a bunch of KISS stuff or do a few medley's. Here's the track list. Lots of "off the beaten path" ones.

• Creatures of the Night
• C'mon and Love me
• Rock Bottom
• She
• 2,000 man
• Charisma
• Magic Touch
• Got To Choose
• Watchin You
• Strange Ways
• 100000 Years
• I Stole Your Love
• The Oath
• I
• I Want You
• Makin Love
• Is That You
• Talk To Me
• Naked City
• Two Sides Of The Coin
• Mr. Speed

It's a matter of finding enough like tempos and parts that flow naturally into each other.

wow now there is a cool kiss song I had completely forgotten about .... sounds awesome man
