Here is a quick comparison of 6 profiles on the Kemper. Each section is labeled on soundcloud as to what profile/amp it is.

Which do you guys prefer?

Here is the order just in case:
1)Splawn Quickrod
2)Diezel VH4
3)Peavey 6534+
4)Marshall JVM
5)EVH 5150III Blue Channel
6)EVH 5150III Red Channel

Keep in mind the first two profiles I have studio eq on and tweaked, haven't had time to tweak the others w a studio eq

They all sounded very similar except the last two.

Seems like you do what I tend to do with my Kemper, which is get as close to the same sound with each amp I like.

I guess I have my sorta tone that I love. This far the Splawn and VH4 work best for me....I'm going to mess with a few others a bit though.

Me too.

I like the JVM and the 5153 sounds best here. I bet a blend of the JVM and 5153 Red would sound sick!

I'm going to mess with studio eqs on a few if the amps today and report back. As of now it's VH4, QuickRod, JVM, 5153....in that order.

I'm actually redoing these right now, and leaving off the last two profiles....because I didn't care for them at all.

Ok, all profiles on equal playing ground now. All have a tweaked studio eq on.

Hell, they all sound good! I think now only how they fit in the mix is more important!

This is my feeling too. Keith, your mixing skills sound great and the Kemper sounds awesome here!

Agree that they all sound good. Are these commercial profiles or profiles you made yourself?

My mixes are already kinda setup for the Splawn/Diezel combo....but man, I'm really digging some of these newer profiles. These are all commercial btw, definitely lots of tweaking by me...but not profiled by me at all. The last 4 profiles were all pulled off of the tonehammer site/deadlight studio.

I'm doing a comparison now of some Lasse Lammert profiles.

Thank God, the riff has left my head

It's a good riff and all, but not all day long

Yeah, my wife is quite sick of this riff lol It's the riff I usually used to tweak all my amps back in the day.....I'll post something different as I start narrowing down my profile choices. :)

Updated the clip with 4 Lasse Lammert profiles at the very end. Is it just me, or do these profiles destroy!?
