I apologise that such topics have been done to death.
I want to invest in a new rig for the studio and live. Taking my tube heads and cabs is not an option.
Also, i dont want to sacrifice on the "amp in the room" sound as i have always played on guitar cabinets, so not really interested in FRFR.

While the above mentioned rig may seem a bit OTT; from what i have read the Kemper will give closest to real amp tones; Helix is a great hub for control and for FX and its ease of use is uncontested; and for more demanding reverbs and spacey stuff the H9 will relieve the Helix of CPU usage. The Matrix GT1000FX and NL212 were chosen keeping weigh and convenience in mind.

Your thoughts on this rig, the individual pieces and especially the NL212.
I am not averse to the idea of an Axe FX2/Matrix GT/Matrix NL212 either.....

But keeping amp tone and FX as priority, what do u guys think ? If any piece is redundant or if i am assuming too much about cpu consumption, let me know if i can make this rig simpler and cheaper.

Btw: Any experience with NL212 and real heads ? They now make a creambacks versions as well!

Cheers guys!

I just picked up a kemper. Truth is that it is amazing and I have access to a library of amps. However the recorded tone you hear of a kemper is not the tone you hear live. Just food for thought.

Thanks for ur reply!
Can u plz tell me what ur Kemper rig is when recording and playing live....
Cheers

I got a kemper to be able to have the goddam best practice rig on the planet. I haven't recorded with it yet. I'm still finding cool profiles. Like I've discovered that the Krank 1980 is a FANTASTIC amp. Go figure- a Krank. But yea great amp or at least the profiles of it are good. Live, I just use my 5153 or Randall RM100. I don't have the footswitch for the kemper which would make it very hard to play live.
