Yeah, the whole "parts guitar" thing got me too at first. Seemed strange to pay $1,350 or something for a guitar that was pieced together from various parts. Then I realized that the K-Line dude pieced together very high quality parts, electronics, hardware, etc..., painted the guitar himself, then did killer aging on it, which produced the best sounding strat I've ever heard. I'm not even kidding, this guitar is awesome. It even stays in tune when I do dives with the vintage style trem.
A "real" custom shop fender relic made from the same parts would cost $3,000 or more, so I no longer consider $1,350 a high price to pay.
Mine also has a "blend" feature. You can use the back tone knob to blend in any amount of the bridge/neck single coils, which is cool.
