Crazy how clean those rythm guitars are, doesn't even sound like they were cranking Marshalls for that. More like small combo amps.
I also learned how limited Ace was and what his go to lick is BUT also how important he was in driving those songs and giving them the energy they needed. With what he had, he did extremely well.

I had an old 100 watt Marshall Super Lead, bone stock. Even cranked to ear splitting volume that thing was clean as a whistle. No where near the gain of even a JCM 800. I was so bummed I sold it. That's probably what we're hearing here.
