Kix fuckin rocked. Cold Blood is all you bleed.....Good love is all you need!

Kix was an AWESOME band IMO... Its a little known fact that Poison ripped them off bigtime in the beginning and became huge while Kix only got mediocre recognition. They were pretty big in the DC area and their live shows kicked all kinds of ass.

Hell yeah Rian!!! Midnight Dynamite kicked ass, so did Mighty Mouth and a whole bunch of others. Steve sang Foolin on a Def Lep tribute disc and he KILLED on it...

Dude, I feel really bad about dismissing these guys as a lame late 80's hair metal creation. And the singer still has the craziest pipes! check this out!

Wow. I had completely forgotten about them. I think I saw them open up for Ratt. They were from Pittsburg right? Seemed like a good 'ole party band without the snobbish attitude.

These guys ALWAYS had killer Plexi tone going on....glad to see they are still out there doin it!

How could we forget these guys for marshall tone...
Steve Vai stole Greg Steeles hair in the wind look

Damn, if that's the original guy's from Kix they sure have aged well!

 Those guys were the best, we opened for them many times back in the day. I always enjoyed hanging with them. Must make note to go back to management and seek a number or two. KIX WAS AS SOLID AS THEY GET!

Probably the best live band that I have ever seen, especially in a smaller club setting like Hammerjacks. Great tone, great tunes, and great stage presence...they really had it all (except for big time success).

Back in the day you had different genres of Metal and Kix was classified as a sleeze rock band (ala LA Guns and faster pussycat.) Sleeze to most of the hariband guys of the day usually meant a band with guys who had the dropped Les Pauls down to their knees and they played simplistic tunes with shit solos lol but I always felt that Kix was a HUGE step up and did not fit into that catagory. I had many friends who were HUGE fans of the band drag me to many of there shows(The used to tour our area A LOT!) and they always put on a F'n great show and had real catchy tunes! I dug them a lot and I agree with a lot of the guys in this thread that they had some killer Marshall tone both on record and live.

and for the record, I can fucking stand LA guns and faster pussycat....and having Kix catagorized in the same genre is an insult to them IMHO!! no offense to those people who like LAG an FP !!

I never could stand those guys....annoying vocals and terrible sounding guitars. :)

man i love KIX, they're one of the few bands we could play at college parties and keep the girls and guys both happy!

ice chest full of Hawaiin punch and Everclear, and Kix blasting through some Cerwin Vega's!

NOW you know you cant get good tone out of a plexi. kix was kicking the eastcoast ass in 1983. were you really of age to take part in that?

I saw these guys about a dozen times in Boston. Best live band. Awesome sound!

Midnight Dynamite great record, I actually have 'the record', a bit too processed.

Blow My Fuse great sounding disk.

Yes they were a great band.

KIX was awesome...saw them in concert...great tone and catchy tunes !

I am still rocking Kix in the old Car CD player to this day!
But I am a 80's metal head and been stuck in a time warp since most of the new music just sucks!
