I'm really wanting one of these heads but I don't know they would cut through mix of a whole band with out being mic'd.

I will be playing it out of a 2x12 jet city cabinet.

I either want to buy the rev jr 20 because its 300 used or save up for the pro 20w. Will any of these be loud enough over a full band? Blackstar ht 20 maybe.

I had a 50 watter once, and my ears are still ringing even though I sold it last year. It was frucking LOUD! The real question is, what will other guys in the band be playing? What size venues will you be at? Are you going to mic the cab? If It were me, I'd opt for the 50 watter and go for the KStein. The Rev I had, had a tone like Dokken's Mr. Scary, but wasn't good for much else, even with the sweep turned way down.

The Blackstar sounds nothing like the krank. I had their HT100 for a few days and it had an ok OD channel, but I thought the rest of the amp was Meh. I have a friend in a cover band and he likes his HT60. If you want a cheap high gain amp, look at a Peavey XXX or a Fender Hotrod Deluxe and a Suhr Riot pedal.

You have a Jet City cab, why not get a JCA100?

Pro 50 watt will be plenty for band situations. not sure the 20w will get you there though. both are really cool amps either way

The venues we will be playing at 50-150 people. Smaller rooms. The otherr guitar player has the same 2x12 cab as me but has a 100w jet city head. Then we have a drummer, bass and singer. To be honest most of our playing will come from practicing in a garage/shop area. I have a valveking 100 but would really like a low wattage tube head. The rev 50 is a little out of my price range and I don't like how the 20w jca sounds to my ears.

The JrPro20 is the same amp as the 50 save for the transformer.
The question would be whether or not it could drive the 2x12 at enough volume to keep up with your other guitar and the drummer.

Generally, people who like more headroom go with the 50, and guys that like heavy gain at less than lethal volumes really like the 20.
