I think the bogner is better. the krank sounds pretty muddy. What do you guys think?

That Rev sounds a lot meaner to me. Then again, different cabs, guitars, and probably speakers :dunno: Sounds like the TJ is dialed in pretty bright too IMO. FWIW I had a Rev1 before and it was super tight and aggressive but it had something I didn't like in the high mids/highs that couldn't be dialed out no matter what I tried

Yeah, the laney cab probably isnt great with the rev.

They have 2 completely different tones dialed in to compliment each other. Krank has huge bottom and scooped mids. Bogner dialed in with lots of mids to fill that gap. If I was playing by myself I would try to dial in right between those tones...or just play both amps :D

I just watched the end, I thought the Bogner guy mighta been the lead guy...the Bogner cut thru in that mix WAY better IMO. the Krank lead almost got buried cause it's all high and low end.

Thats exactly what i was thinking. Kranks get too scooped out, and to bassy, then they're lost in a mix.

This^^
he took out the mids and neutered the poor thing.
I cant even really compare them dialed like that. Maybe if the same guy dialed em both in it would have been a better comparison

Kranks live in the mids. I dial my mids in higher way higher than the bass.
The sweep is also critical, parametric EQ that works well.
I keep the sweep low, but high enough to give the bass player his space, using the sweep to adjust to the "boomy-ness" of the stage.
