I read somewhere that you can take out two tubes and switch the output transistor switch and run a krank revolution i was wondering if this is true and what this will do to the over all sound

if you mean can you pull out 2 power valves and it will run at 50 watts, then yes. either the 2 outer ones or the 2 inner ones. it wont run on just 1 though.

you called it a output transformer switch, I think you meant ohm selector, and yes, if you are running a 16 ohm cab you would have to run it @ 8 ohm if you pulled 2 of the power tubes
