I haven't played one, so I can't personally say anything other than just what I mentioned. They thought the amp would be more Marshall-like than it is. When you spend 3-4K on an amp if it's not perfect for them it gets sold quickly. But that's not an indictment of the amp, it's just the opinion of a couple buyers.Detroit1973":217sbfpw said:Racerxrated":217sbfpw said:I've heard as cool as the amp is, it's still mostly a modern tone vs more of a Marshall tone. It Seems Most people want a Multi Channel Amp that Has 3 Channels.
Channel 1 would cover: Fender Twin/Vox AC 30 cleans & Mild Break Up
Channel 2 would cover: JCM800-JVM/Jubilee/Modded Marshall Territory
Channel 3 would cover: Modern Metal Tones....5150/Uber/Dual Rec/Bogner/Diezel.
Am i off Base?
I personally love KSR Amps & Really want a Purple Artemis.
I’d be cool with 2 channels, clean dirty with the dirty maybe having a solo boost and it’s own gain control...and still sound like an actual Marshall, just with more gain and better feel.Detroit1973":1ci9jtgw said:Racerxrated":1ci9jtgw said:I've heard as cool as the amp is, it's still mostly a modern tone vs more of a Marshall tone. It leans that way for sure but it is still much tighter and has more defined gain on tap than those previously mentioned amps. Like I said, now having my Gemini, they are definitely different. It's still a KSR though. Lots of bottom end, super chunky, aggressive and tight. It does good Crunch tones for sure.
I will say, I think Kyle has a "sound" which is an accomplishment.

Right. But, it doesn't stop many of us from trying to get the 'best' version of an amp that the original company doesn't quite get there with...take Wizard for instance. You want a Marshall but 'more' of everything? Try an MCI/II. Very Marshally and has more EQ range, low end and Power/Thump. But, those still might not be as Marshall as they want. I tried a Wizard MTL thinking it was the best Marshall I would ever try...and I sold it after a month because the mids just aren't the same. Eventually tried an MCI and THAT was the best Marshall I ever played not named Marshall.RaceU4her":zbj2pgnf said:Racerxrated":zbj2pgnf said:I haven't played one, so I can't personally say anything other than just what I mentioned. buying a 4k amp from one company to try and sound like another company which you could have for a fraction of the cost dosent make much sense to me![]()
