Wow, i had both and totally agree with everyone here. The descriptions of each mentioned here are exactly my thoughts.
With this said, i will add this.
Had the KSR, sold it. Was too thick and dark for me, not enough crunch and aggressiveness and openness. Have the Revv 120, it aint going nowhere. It has made me put up my BE for sale. Channel 4 with lower gain and red mode, EL34 tubes, gets me such an awesome Marshally crunch, it’s crazy. Add in the reverb and pitch shift, instant VH Balance tone. Love it.
And channel 3 with blue aggression, EQ in the loop. Ooooffff. Modern metal machine.
Crunch with max gain? Gets an amazing fuzz tone, back off a bit and it is a smooth overdrive than loves a boost to get serious crunch.
I love the clean but i find it a bit too sterile and the headroom seems low? Distorts a little bit when picking too hard. Need to experiment with the bright and compensate with the EQ in the loop. Waiting for Source Audio too release the EQ2. Midi presets!!!!! One for cleans, one for crunch, one for leads , one for rythm, one for my wife, one for the neighbor.......
Anyways. Revv has an amazing amp line. And Dan is such a great guy. He helped on a couple occasions, multiple emails and i bought my amp used. Great customer service. I also dealth with Kyle and it was also an amazing experience, very cool guy. But in the end, the Revv tone is my tone.
