Any of you guys own a Mr Hector? Just got the amp and it has all jj tubes in it. I put a lps in the inverter and 9th gen china pre's in v1,v2,v3,v4 and the amp woke right up. Not a fan off jj pre's, only in Marshall's.

So was thinking of grabbing some ruby's for the power section . Any mr Hectors out there?

Can't find any support/ info on the amp. Am I the only person who owns one lol

The bias only sweeps to 24ma. Need to change a resistor but don't no what one

Maybe try emailing laboga to ask them?

Used to be a mr. hector user. Was a great sounding amp.

I did they are not good at answering question . I found out the amp if fixed bias by messing with it today with my probe. Is has a bias symatree for the power tubes that seems to control the two left power tubes with the two right power tubes . Kind of weird . Also on the PCB it has a pot for noise but also effects the bias a few MA's.

Three of the new tubes seem to be at 24ma and one at 34ma. Checked all screen grid resistors I think it just may be the tube that is 10ma off . I wonder what they want the amp to be biased at ? Sucks having no support in the USA.

When I find what grade power tube the amp needs to get into the 60% bias I'll post my findings . Guys who own the mr hector will thank me later .

Got the laboga a correct quad of power tubes to bring the fixed bias up to 35 ma from the 16ma jj's that came out of it .This amp is the s#%t and if any of you guys can try one do it! Sounds like a boosted recto . The laboga does not need a boost to bring the beef and super easy to dial in.

For sure the most impressive amp I have tried in a wile. I think the only dealer is in NY for USA. Would like to get my hands on the matching 3x12 has two v30's and a BLS electro voice zakk speaker.

Went threw two quads from doug at dougs tubes to finally get a quad to pull up the bias . The quad draws 29.5 at 400v on the maxi matcher . Rather hot set of tubes
