Lace sent me a set of Lifers, the signature pickups from Wino. They have a midrange hump that really cuts through.

All of a sudden, I've been hearing a lot about these Lace pickups. They seem popular with the Doom crowd. I'd like to check them out, but there are so many variables when it comes to pickups. Neck wood, body wood, fretboard wood, construction. Pickups that sound great in one guitar don't always suit another guitar. Not sure I would rock someone else's pickups, but they do sound good.
