I’ve been promising a clip of my Laney for ages and decided to fire the old girl up.

It’s a short clip but as promised she delivers

She’s due for a full retube as well. It’s why the clip is cut short. Not long after a preamp tube started giving me a fit ?

Laneys are extremely underrated.

Thanks for the comment!

Yes for sure they don’t get enough love. They can make a 4x12 dance just like a Marshall and take SD-1s just as well too.

This amps ungodly loud. This was on 1.5 where my Marshall has a log taper set to 2.3 or so. You can hear the strings not because the volume is low but due to how hard I hit and my proximity to the condenser mic

Matt that clip sounds fantastic!!
I have no experience with them amps.
Very nice crunch/grind and great recording.
Thank you Dan!!

I didn’t either. About a decade ago I filled in for a guitarist in a band where the drummer was in both of our bands. He said to use his rig so I didn’t have to haul my 5150 and cab. He had a GH100TI with matching 90s style Laney cabinets. I plugged in and it sounded just like this and it blew me away. I swore I’d find me one eventually after college. I got lucky and found a GH100S local in MD.

Loud they are. I've had several GH50L's, and a 100L. That 100 watt, to this day, is still one of the loudest amps I've ever owned. Right up there with the Quick Rods. Stupid loud.

Yeah mine is the loudest amp I have, and really dosent even really fill in till about 10 on the master, not a bedroom amp
