There is a guy selling one for $550. I don"t know anything about it other than a few videos and that Andy Timmons used them before his current mesas

For what it's worth Timmons tone was wayy better with the laney !!

The laney power transformer.

For $550, the VH100r is a nice deal. I do kind of miss the one I had. It had 2 channels, each with 2 boosts (I basically treated it as a 4 channel amp).

The amp size itself is huge. I thought the clean was great. Distortion was nice too. It is a bright amp and at the time I had a bright 212, so that was not the best match. I kind of wish I could try one again through my current cabs. Lots of nice features on the VH100R, I would give it a go.

The other guitarist in my old band had a VH100 and I had a GH100 for a long time, which is basically the single channel version of that amp. Both amps sound great and are very responsive to how you play. They're definitely bright amps so I really recommend using a dark sounding cab with it. For $550 I would pick it up in a heartbeat.

I owned one for several years and loved it. As long as you get one w/o any issues it's a great amp. Mattias Eklundh was playing one (endorses Laney) and his tone was pretty huge. Clean/Crunch on Channel 1 and Gain + Boost on Channel 2

Ain't nothin' wrong with Laney or their toroidial trannys.

right on. toroidal transformers are more efficient.

VH100R is a bright, high gain beast. excellent unique sounding amps for sure. love 'em. they cut through a mix amazing well.
