Who is THE one, besides the man himself to bring back the dead. Dave Friedman said he could and my amp is nowhere near the beast it was after that solder jockey had it. He said the loop was making the amp unstable and it was sending the amp into oscillation. I told him to leave the high gain mod alone and do his thing but I would rather have it broken and unmolested than have it the way it sounds now. I am in the Bay Area and I prefer not to ship. Must excel at high gain mods and know Todd Langners' work.

Hey. I do not know the extent of his knowledge of mods, but Val King at www.kingamplification.com is outstanding for all that I have used him for. He is in San Jose. His shop was near the airport and was too expensive to maintain. He now works out of his garage I believe. I will give him a call and check it out for you.

This^
Nobody knows those circuits better than Mike. I had a Langner that had an oscillation issue from the day Todd sent it to me (past 2 o clock with anything but EMG's) Its a 900 that was far different than the 800s that he did day in and day out, Mike fixed it with a 2 buck shield that he made to isolate the added tube and gain stage. I'm sure your problem is different since it is an issue that has developed over time, but I'm also sure he can absolutely fix it without changing anything but the problem ;) But you will have to ship it to him in Canada. I would not let my Langners be touched by anyone else. Not only can he fix the oscillation issue, he can make the amp exactly what it was when Todd finished it.
Give him a call, he's a pleasure to deal with

if you don't want to ship it, let king check it out, he is good.

I just heard another pissed off clip of Brent's work that seals the deal. Wish there was more to hear but I can't find any. Maybe I can change that later

That's my amp! I'd tell you to trust Brent Gutierrez.

Here is something I've been waiting to post...

Just have to give a huge shout to Mark Cameron and his abilities to harness high gain circuits. He was THE one to bring back my beloved Langner modified Marshall from the depths...Forever will I be grateful Mark, thank you brother, the girl puts out like no other.

Oh hell yes!!! Super glad you got the man to get her going! Would love to have him dial up an amp for me. Hope he is doing well.

Congrats! Cool that he was able to help..one of a few that probably could.

He re-did his mods on allot of Langners and Morins back in the day.

Did I get this right? Dave Friedman ruined your amp? Never heard a bad word about Dave, ever.

We all learn more along the way in life. Who knows why it happened but it did and it wasn't actually one but two Langner modded amps.

His saying his knowledge of the Langner mods and his ability to restore them at the time I assert was never in his realm at the time. The amps I walked away with were far from the amps that were modded by Todd.

Believe what you want. I have nothing against Dave as this was done long ago. I even sent him an apology out what was said out of anger. Afa the amps, I kept my 71 and it has been restored and never sounded better. I wish Dave all the best.

And now when I asked him on stream if he is able to inspect my friend's Langner modded Marshall (Gary Holt's clone) he said he had a busy schedule but he mentioned that he had seen a few. I almost convinced my friend to send him one but now I'm curious if it worth it. I even found a better guy who said he's from the Bay Area and knows Langner mods very well.
